A niche is a specialized segment of the market for a particular kind of product or service, denoting products, services, or interests that appeal to a small, specialized section of the population.

There is a stereotype that SO MANY photographers fall victim to — believing that college & sorority photography is “TOO niche” to pay any attention to. And why wouldn’t they think that? After all, as the stereotype goes, college students are all dirt poor, eating microwave ramen for three meals a day. Why on earth would they be able to afford a high-end, luxury service like photography?
