When I began my career as a wedding photographer, I would hear professional wedding photographers talk about brides who knew they wanted to book them for years before their wedding. I never dreamed that would be me. Then I met Morgan at her sister, Camryn’s, senior photo shoot. Last month, nearly three years later, I had the honor of capturing Morgan and her husband Eddie’s fall wedding at the Barn at Paradise.
What made this wedding so incredible was not that Morgan knew she wanted me shooting her wedding long before she ever got engaged (though it was TOTALLY flattering Morgan… still blushing a little just typing this!). It wasn’t returning to the Barn at Paradise 2 years after shooting one of their first-ever weddings. In fact, it wasn’t even that Morgan and Eddie are such a dang good looking couple that they make my job insanely easy!
What made this wedding so stinkin’ special was having known this family for years now, and knowing that Morgan and Eddie are HUGE family people, and knowing that what mattered most to them was being surrounded by all the people they loved most on wedding day.
The strong family bonds these two share with their family was never more evident than the father/daughter first look. Her father, Billy, spun around. Took one look at his baby girl in her wedding dress for the first time. And he lost it. Tears, hugs and more tears ensued. You could tangibly feel how much he loved his princess, and how much she loved him back.
It’s tough to beat a fall wedding at the Barn at Paradise. It’s especially tough when you get to work with amazing families like Morgan’s and Eddie’s. Morgan, thank you for wanting us there to capture your big day before you had a ring on your finger. Thank you for entrusting us with the details of your day and your schedule. I hope these images are everything you’ve been dreaming of for the past three years and more. Your love story is truly a #tellezoldastime (hashtag #hashtaggoals)! We’re thrilled to have been there to capture it! Congratulations… we love you guys!
