He spun her around. Her feet lifted high off the ground. She smiled at him. Then at everyone looking on. Then back at him. She hugged him tightly. His arms felt like home.

Fathers and daughters. There is a special bond between them. That bond was on full display as Amanda’s father turned around to see her in her wedding dress for the first time. The tears that flowed. The heartfelt embrace that was shared. The tender words exchanged. Amanda’s crazy about her father… and he’s crazy about his baby girl.

With such an intense bond with her own father, you can imagine the joy all over Amanda’s face throughout their wedding day, as person after person raved about how her now-husband, Jon, has loved Amanda’s daughter like his own.

It was only fitting, then, when it came time for all the ceremonial dances at the beginning of the reception, for Jon and Kenzie to share a special dance of their own.

Jon and Amanda (and Kenzie), thanks for welcoming us in to your story! The past few months have been a wild journey, full of a million “what if” and “what now” moments. No matter what life and coronavirus dealt you, you handled it all with grace and a peaceful spirit (and a much-needed dose of Jon’s hilarious wisecracks along the way!)
