Photographing TCU Alumni proposals is easily one of my favorite things we do. As a College & Sorority photographer here in Fort Worth, we meet some of the most amazing people during their years at TCU. Amazing people like Meg, who we met through our work with her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. After meeting her now-fiancé Joey at another TCU wedding last year, Joey recently reached out to Square 8 Studio to help him pull off his dream proposal to his dream girl!

The first thing that instantly impressed me about Joey was how totally smitten he is with Meg. Every conversation and interaction, he GLOWED when he talked about her. His focus was always on to pull together each element of his idea the BEST way imaginable. It is clear how much he loves her and wanted their proposal moment to be magical and meaningful!

When the moment came, nothing – not the 20+mph winds, not the spring allergies… nothing – could take that glow away from Joey as he got down on one knee, pulled out a ring, and asked Meg to marry him! We then grabbed some portraits of the newly-engaged couple before Joey whisked his fiancé away to a surprise engagement party with all their friends and family!

As Meg pointed out about her friend group later in the night: ”Rob, you’ve been there for ALL of our big moments!” That’s what I love about being a College & Sorority photographer. You connect with amazing people like Joey and Meg just before they get engaged, and you get to be there every step of the way through the process. It makes every moment that much more special, because you’re no longer serving strangers… you’re serving friends… people you’ve come to know and root for over the years! Joey and Meg, it was such an honor to be their capturing these moments for you last night! Congratulations… we love you guys!!!
